For as long as I can remember (and I’ve been around a long, long time) the homeowners at Sea Breeze at Lacey have been supporters and cheerleaders for the Lacey Food Bank and the Lacey Food Bank Kids. With a very active Social Committee, the residents take part in many events throughout the year fostering both a community camaraderie and community awareness. One of the highlights of their year is the Fall Brunch that takes place shortly before Thanksgiving and has historically benefited the Lacey Food Bank. Sadly, this year, due to health concerns, the Clubhouse has been closed and activities suspended. But Judy Hovey tells me that didn’t deter the 20 members of the Sea Breeze Social Committee! With no Thanksgiving Brunch on the horizon, the social club asked the Sea Breeze homeowners to remember the Lacey Food Bank by dropping a donation in Social Club member mailboxes. And the response was overwhelming!! Behind the face masks, Judy Hovey and Arlene Desarno are sporting big smiles as they dropped off nearly $4,000.00!!!
