Every year, just about this time, the Sea Breeze Social Committee comes knocking on our door bringing with them food donations to stock our pantry. The homeowners at Sea Breeze of Lacey have long been supporters and even volunteers of the Lacey Food Bank and so, despite the continuing health guidelines they were determined to continue with their annual support project. Taking their cue from the drive-by food distributions that are the norm right now they held a drive-by of their own. In Reverse!!! Trunks up, the residents drove by and dropped their donations in the waiting cars belonging to the Committee members. And when all was said and done they had collected enough groceries to fill more than a dozen shopping carts. That’s 218 bags of food that will go toward our Holiday food distributions. They also gifted us with a generous donation that we can use to fill in our most needed items.
