Mr. Touchdown Scores for the Lacey Food Bank
For more years than even I can remember, the Lacey Township High School Football Team and their awesome Cheerleaders have spent days leading up to the Big Game with a friendly competition involving cans and coins and good-spirited persuasion. All for a good cause, the Mr. Touchdown competition became the highlight of Spirit Week when the idea was first introduced by Mrs. Vircillo during her tenure as the varsity cheer coach. When all the coins were counted and the first Mr. Touchdown crowned, Coach V and the Lacey Football Foundation adopted the Lacey Food Bank as the designated charity. This year, Senior John Scott Stevens took the crown thanks to the efforts and enthusiasm of Cheerleader Gianna Christina! Today Donna McAvoy accepted a $1,450 donation from the Lacey Football Foundation! Congratulations and our sincere thanks to Mr. Touchdown, all the LTHS football players, cheerleaders, coaches, and students for this outstanding contribution to the Lacey Food Bank. Go Lions!!!
