The dedication and commitment of our Lacey Food Bank Volunteers make our work possible – especially given the challenges and restrictions of the last year and a half. All our volunteers give back to us and to our community in unique and important ways. Each year the Lacey Food Bank traditionally recognizes one outstanding volunteer who stands out for overall leadership, commitment, and contribution. This year Lacey Food Bank Co-Chairs Harold Peters and Ed Weisbrot were pleased to present to Bob McAvoy the Volunteer of the Year Award! Bob has consistently demonstrated that dependability, flexibility, initiative, cooperation, and positive interaction with others makes a significant impact on our ability to continue to service our clients – especially throughout these past months of uncertainty and change.
