More than a dozen years ago we at the Lacey Food Bank were introduced to the newest residents of our community – the families of Sea Breeze – when 2 of the original homeowners, Barbara & Tom Segrich signed on as volunteers. Since the beginning, Sea Breeze has been among those whose contributions and support have meant so much to us and to the families we serve. Whether it be gathering supplies and providing manpower to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, raising funds to jump-start our earliest days of the LFBKids Christmas Drive through their dinner dances with OC Johnny, to their annual Fall Brunch that would re-stock our shelves just in time for Thanksgiving, to their latest innovative and very successful drive-by food drives which helped to keep us going during the recent Covid period of quarantine; the support from Sea Breeze has been a constant and unfailing. So it comes as no surprise when these members of the Social Committee stopped by yesterday with a very generous donation of more than $3,000.00! Pictured here in the group photo is Judy Hovey, along with Sea Breeze resident and Lacey Food Bank Volunteer Kathy Verdicchio, Anamaria Soto, Lorraine Riccardi, and Bob Soto. Thank You Sea Breeze for being such a Good Friend of the Food Bank!
