Our LFBKids are already dreaming about the Lazy, Hazy, Days of Summer and so are we! Summer equals plenty of fun in the sun, but it’s important to take care of yourself while you’re out and about in the heat That’s why we’re sharing a few basic safety tips to start practicing now!
Stay hydrated. Adults should drink about 48-64 ounces a day, but you should drink even more if you’re out in the sun doing any kind of physical activity.
Slather on the sunscreen. Sunscreen not only protects against everyday skin damage, it also helps protect you from skin cancer.
Study up. Make sure you can spot the signs of heat exhaustion, which include dizziness, fatigue, nausea, confusion, and more.
Look for the LFBKids Volunteers at the JUNE General Food Distribution for some nifty summer safety items – and a few fun things too!! Details to follow! Stay Tuned and Stay Safe!
