Meet Rose Jakimjuk, a retired emergency room nurse who went on, after retirement, to a second career as a school crossing guard. And now a 3rd passion occupies her time. At 90 years young, Mrs. Jakimjuk fills her time with crocheting blankets and scarves for hospitals and senior centers and for children – like our Lacey Food Bank Kids! Despite the onset of Parkinson’s Disease and some memory loss, this beautiful lady can’t be beaten in slip-stitching a bobble into a double treble crochet any day of the week! Yesterday these beautiful creations were dropped off as a contribution to our LFBKIds Christmas drive! Thank You Rose ❤ for these and for the countless others you gift, with love, to so many throughout the year.
