If you were to ask me, Mr. Rogers had it right. If you look for the helpers, you’ll be sure to find them. Or they will find you. And that’s the case with this woman who came to us some 10 years ago with Christmas donations she had collected at work. Fast forward to today and Jaime Pluta is not only among our chief cheerleaders but she is also a valued member of the LFBKids Volunteers. When we found ourselves scrambling this year for donation drop-offs and contributions. Jaime set about recruiting family, friends, co-workers, and business associates as drop-off points and contributors. Her efforts culminated in a Christmas House Party that resulted in a remarkable and overwhelming amount of donations for the Children from Friends, the Staff at the Ocean County Jail, and AM Fitness.
