Each year since the inception of the Inter-Generational Club, during the week after Thanksgiving, a busload of senior members, teachers, and students from the elementary schools of Lacey, hold a NON-FOOD drive, then deliver it to the Lacey Food Bank in a yellow school bus. Knowing that man (and woman) need more than food, the bus is packed to the roof with paper, plastic, and personal supplies for our appreciative clients.
The visit is a favorite of ours, and to mark the occasion, Guy arranged for Duffy, the LFB mascot and his visiting cousin, Pebbles, who was celebrating her 12th birthday. They received a lot of attention and responded with licky kisses to all. A great day for all.
The Inter-Generational Club does several projects throughout the year for Lacey Township.
