More than 500 people came face to face with all kinds of ghosts and ghouls last Saturday night at the Dee Road Cemetery…..and they enjoyed every minute of being scared out of their socks!! This one night only performance – known throughout Lacey and beyond, as “Food Fright” closed out its 6th year bigger and spookier than ever before. Live performers added to the already scary mix of graveyard creatures and made for extra screams and goosebumps!! And by the time the fog cleared and the event closed for the night, a truckload of groceries- packed to the roof – had been collected for the Lacey Food Bank! The Dee Road Cemetery will remain open for nocturnal visitors, weather permitting, through November 2 and they are still collecting food. Donald Bucci, the gatekeeper of the Dee Road Cemetery said “I want you all to know we have something even bigger planned for next year. Until then thank you Lacey Township and all the surrounding areas for showing us exactly what people can do when they come together and put their minds to it. Lacey rocks!” Thank You Don and Thank You to this year’s sponsors, Don’s Doors and One of a Kind Landscaping for making the Lacey Food Bank part of this on-going spooky tradition!
