We have been fortunate to have been part of several Eagle Scout Projects in the last few years. From landscaping done around our building, to an amazing community garden that helps us provide fresh produce during the growing season, to the garden’s potting bench that gives our volunteers a much-needed area to work, the Lacey Food Bank and Lacey Scouts make a dynamite combo. So it comes as no surprise to once again be the recipient of the efforts of another Eagle Scout candidate. Meet QUINN WATERS from Lacey Troop 56. Quinn did his work over at the Mill Pond School but then found that he had donation money left over. And like a true Eagle, he forwarded that extra money to the Lacey Food Bank. I’m attaching a copy of Quinn’s letter to us where he outlines his project and his reason for donating to us. From past experiences with Eagle Scout candidates we’ve learned that there is a commonality of courage, kindness, compassion, and character amongst the Eagle Scout candidates and his generous donation serves to reinforce our beliefs. The Lacey Food Bank joins Quinn’s Scouting Leaders, his fellow Scouts of Troop 56, and his family and friends in congratulating him on a job well done and we thank him for a service gratefully received.
