As 2021 winds down, I am reminded daily of how fortunate we are to live in this town called Lacey. That reminder comes in the form of the Volunteers who make up the face of the Lacey Food Bank; upstanding and outstanding men and women, from all ages and stages of life, who freely give their time and energies, and talents to make a world of difference to the men, women, and children that we serve. Their commitment and the support of our friends in the Lacey Township Community – schools, businesses, and neighbors – reaffirms the simple truth that the most ordinary things can be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people. When we were children we were grateful to those who filled our stockings at Christmas time. Now we find that the JOY we give to others comes back to us a hundredfold. Please remember your neighbors that may be struggling this year by doing just a little bit of good, no matter what it might be, right where you live.
