Today, during the regular June food distribution, LFBKids Volunteers distributed to our youngest clients the Summertime over-the-counter supplies that CANNOT be purchased with an EBT card. Thanks to a Community Grant from Walmart along with some very generous donations from YOU, we were able to provide sunscreen and sunburn aids, along with lip balms, insect repellent, first aid kits, hygiene products, Summer reading materials, and more. Freezer Ice Pops and Giant Bubble Wands were among the most popular items. But the Stars of this distribution were the inflatable pools and floaties and water balloon kits! Available in very limited quantities we are putting those items on our Wish List for next year and will be taking advantage of end-of-season sales to stock up for Summer’24! All items were distributed on a first-come, first-pick basis. We are only able to continue to grow this project and others like it because of your generosity and support!
