The Lacey Food Bank is grateful and humbled by the kindness and generosity of the Hunger Foundation Of Southern Ocean. Their unwavering support of our Mission and the Mission of our fellow Food Pantries here in Southern Ocean County over these last 12+ years has been constant – even through the obstacles of Covid. Our program provides for those whose tables are empty and is supported by those whose tables are full but our world has changed these last 2 years and we have had to change with it. When we look at the effects of the current economy, we are seeing an impact in areas that never before grappled with hunger and poverty.
The Hunger Foundation of Southern Ocean County recognized this change in demographics and needs and recently held a round-table discussion day with the Pantries they support and shared over $90,000.00 – monies raised by fundraisers throughout the year – with each of the Pantries they support. The Lacey Food Bank received $11,000.00!!!!
