We have a special project on tap for the Lacey Food Bank April distribution. The Lacey Food Bank Kids Volunteers will be distributing, while they last, the very basic of home gardening supplies! Just growing something, whether to eat or simply for its beauty, results in a sense of pride and accomplishment. We’d like to give our Kids and their families an opportunity to experience that enjoyment too!. We are starting from scratch and could use it all….. peat pots with or without growing trays, unopened seed packets of basic herbs, like parsley and basil and small garden or container type veggie seeds or annual flower seeds would be most appreciated. Garden gloves, small hand size gardening tools and small plastic watering cans are on our Wish List too! We are having some space limitations at the Food Bank so if you would like to donate any of the garden supplies that could help us reach our goal, reach out to any Kids Volunteer and we will make arrangements for donation drop offs. All donations must be to us no later than April 13th.
