UPDATE – It was just shy of 10am and nearly 84 degrees when we closed up shop, but we were able to provide our LFBKids with the Summer necessities such as Sunscreen, Aloe, Bug Repellent, First Aid Kits, Antiseptic Wipes, Lip Balm, Lotions and Instant Ice Packs. Their parents/caregivers also had the opportunity to select from an assortment of beach and swim and yard toys like floats and beach balls and bubbles and of course, we had ice pops! It wouldn’t be Summer without them! For those clients without registered children – and because of the harsh heat we are experiencing – we had available sample sizes of these same Summer helpers for everyone who was on line! Happy & Safe Summer to Us All!!
It’s not quite 7am and it’s already 71 degrees in Forked River. With the reduction of space inside the food bank, Rosa & I will be outside, in the parking lot , with the Kids June Sunmer distribution.
