Whether you believe in the Divine or Kismet you have to admit that there were forces at work to bring a very special donation to us. Mr. Robert Chamberlain from Forked River just happened to be at Newark Airport recently and just happened upon some cash that just happened to be laying on the floor. You would think with all the hustle and bustle of the passengers that walk through the terminal someone would have picked it up. But it was Mr. Chamberlain who did and the bundle amounted to $91.00. Unsure of the owner, he attempted to turn it in but was pretty much told that lost and found didn’t accept cash and that it was unlikely it would be claimed. Unsure of what to do, and probably said in jest, someone said he should check the 91st Psalm. He did and discovered that the 91st Psalm talked about hardship. Hmmmm…. Fast forward to Election Day’19 and Mr. Chamberlain is at Community Hall recounting his story to a fellow election worker who also happens to be a Lacey Food Bank volunteer! Can you guess the end of this story? Thanks to Mr. Chamberlain and LFB volunteers Laura Ruocco-Faronea and Elaine Giliberti Brueckmann, $91.00 will go toward the purchase of winter boots for the LFBKids! Thank You, Mr. Chamberlain!!
