A few weeks ago Chief Michael DiBella of the Lacey Township Police Department introduced me to Ron Pfeiffer the owner of Retro Fitness – Lacey, NJ.
Mr. Pfeiffer wanted to not only help the Lacey Food Bank but also give a hand to 2 other local programs that were in need. And so began a trifecta of community caring, by sharing. A week-long, drive up food drive was held outside of Retro Fitness Lacey to benefit not only the Lacey Food Bank but also Vetworks and Popcorn Park.
When it was all over, Ron Pfeiffer delivered to the Lacey Food Bank over 700 lbs of non-perishable food and a very generous donation of $10,000.00!!! I often talk about how Lacey is a community of Hometown Heroes. Not since Hurricane Sandy have we seen such an outpouring of help and compassion for those in our community whose lives have been impacted the most by this pandemic. And that’s what it’s all about at the Lacey Food Bank; Hometown Businesses, Hometown Organizations, Hometown Community Members working together to fight hunger. Because the only real cure for hunger is …FOOD.
Thank You Ron and Retro Fitness Lacey! (photo courtesy of Retro Fitness)
