Like Santa’s Elves who work all year long to get ready for their really, Really, REALLY BIG DAY, the LFBKids Volunteers and the wonderful people and businesses and community and sports groups who support our LFB Kids Mission and our commitment, work all year to Keep the Promises we made to our LFBKids some 15 years ago! You may remember from last Christmas, Rose Jakimjuk, a retired emergency room nurse who went on, after retirement, to a second career as a school crossing guard. And now a 3rd passion occupies her time. At 90+ years young, Mrs. Jakimjuk fills her time with crocheting blankets and scarves for hospitals and senior centers and for children – like our Lacey Food Bank Kids! And although most of us are ready for lazy days at the beach, just look at these beauties that Rose made and delivered to us for Christmas’24! Thank You Rose, your talent and your kindness, like your blankets, warms our hearts! #lfbkids #keepingthepromise #madewithloveandcare #christmas24 #thankful #friendshelpingfriends
